A standing seam metal roofing is a premium roofing system. The standing seam metal roof will initially cost more than as asphalt shingle roofing system. However, an asphalt shingle roof will normally require two to three replacements throughout its lifetime. Metal roofs do not need replacement.

There are several types of standing seam roofs. There are double-lock, snap-loc, and exposed fasteners. In our opinion, the double lock standing seam metal roof is the best compared to the other types. A double lock standing seam metal roof has concealed fasteners, and individual panels are mechanically seamed together. The concealed fasteners provide maintenance free roofs while the mechanical seams insurance that the roof is watertight.

Gauges

The metal that is used to manufacture these types of roofs comes in two different gauges. There are 24 and 26. 24 is the thickest gauge. We only use 24 gauge materials unless otherwise specified.

The type of roofing materials you want to cover and protect your house depends on your taste, suitability on the house structure and budget.

Corrugated roofing material is as widely used as the other materials available in the market. This material has a wavelike sort of design, which is both aesthetic and functional. Some corrugated roofing materials are made of metal others are polycarbonate. The corrugated roof is usually used for steep slope roof. It could be paint-coated with different colors and treated with metal preserving chemicals to make it more durable and resistant from corrosive substances.

Turner roofing completed replacing my asphalt shingle roof, skylights and cedar fascia boards in less than 3 days with the utmost care to my new landscaping and did an outstanding quality job. I would definitely recommend them. They worked with me, explaining and showing me their work as it progressed. They had a skilled team on site with a seasoned supervisor at all times. I am a real estate broker associate in Palm Beach Gardens. Turner is highly recommended by my Realtor friends. We hired Turner Roofing to repair a major roof leak around the screen-enclosed pool, after getting many quotes. It took a month for the project to get started, due to rain delays. The owner, Reid Turner was unprofessional and discourteous to me about a repair job that they had provided me a proposal for. After Turner Roofing had provided their proposal, their roofer did not return multiple phone calls and texts seeking a scheduled date to go ahead with the work. I just called Reid and he told me that they could not honor their proposal as they were to busy for my small job. He then hung up the phone on me.
